The National Coordinator of Oodua People Congress (OPC), Otunba Gani Adams on Wednesday visited the Popoyemoja Palace of the Olubadan-designate, High-Chief Saliu Adetunji.
Adams, who is an honorary chieftaincy holder congratulate Ibadan for having someone like Adetunji who have has a name in Nigeria before becoming the Olubadan.
He however praise the Ibadan chieftaincy system, which he adjudged as the best. “In some towns, there is always a crisis when it comes to holding chieftaincy offices. Some even filed litigation for thirty-forty years. Ibadan system is the best.
He prayed for peace in Ibadan during the reign of the monarch “If there is peace in Ibadan, there is peace in Yoruba land because there is no tribe that does not have representation in Ibadan. If you want to succeed in whatever you are doing, you must have something to do it Ibadan.
He also prayed that the new Olubadan reign will witness the desire of every Ibadan sons and daughter, which is the creation of Ibadan State.Otunba Adams was accompanied by famous actor,and Cultural Ambassador of Olokun Festival Foundation,Yomi Fash-Lanso,top members of Oodua Progressive Union among others
Reacting, the Olubadan-designate, High-Chief Adetunji thank Adams for the visit and promised to carry on with the late Olubadan desire of an Ibadan State.
