Hon. Deji Ogunsakin, the Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government and members of his cabinet this morning joined thousands of Ado-Ekiti residents to kick against insanity in the city of Ado-Ekiti and its environs.
Hon Ogunsakin observed this development while monitoring this month Environmental exercise in Ado Ekiti.
According to him, health is wealth and that Health of a man is an health of all. Therefore, Ado and its environs must be clean and hygienic always so that the city can become a cynosure of all eyes.
Hon.Ogunsakin urged the market women and petty traders that displayed their goods during the exercise in Bisi market, Okeyinmi Area to desist such act and vacate the area forthwith, warning them to desist coming to market during Environmental sanitation.
"Environmental Day is just 4hours in every last Saturday of the month. I am not happy with the way you people use to observe it. Now am sending this note of warning to you that Ado council will not take it easy with you in the subsequent exercise.
"Ado Ekiti is our small london.So, let us join hands together with the government and environmental officers to make Ado Ekiti a better place for all and sundry to live" Ogunsakin said.
In the long run, during the exercise the Chairman visited the area that needs government urgent attention like Adebayo Jimoh Aliu Nova where Erosion has damaged the feeder Road Leading to Adebayo Opopogoro main road.
The chairman told the residents of the area to pay their taxes regularly so that government can as well contribute its own part by providing a lasting solution to the problem facing the area.
