The All Progressive Congress (APC) government of Dr. Kayode Fayemi in Ekiti State has singled out its social security programme in the state as a major dividend of democracy to the people. The Governor during his recent visit to some local government headquarters claimed that the social security programme was part of his campaign promises to the electorate and that no other state in the federation has done this for its aged and the needy.
A 37-year-old Lagos-based tailor, Ojo Adegboyega, who allegedly stole a jeep and also escaped from lawful custody, was on Saturday brought before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.

A judge made a wise decision in a rather complicated case connected with illegal use of sperm. A man sued his ex-girlfriend, when he found out that she had secretly used his sperm to conceive a child. The judge ruled that the woman’s actions could not be viewed as criminal, because the man had given his sperm to her on a voluntary basis.
