President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday said he had fulfilled the promises he made to Nigerians during his 2011 campaign while inaugurating a five-seater air-conditioned passenger inter-city rail transport system that will link Makurdi, Benue State with Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.

The Royal Highness Sultan of Sokoto said he doesn’t have a voter’s card and i know so many Nigerians who do not have a permanent voter’s card. If you say from your presentation that Nigerians who are eligible to vote would be allowed to do and their vote will count, what is your department doing to ensure that INEC register these people to ensure they have a permanent voter’s card?
Irked by the increasing manouvres of the terrorists laying claim to Nigeria’s territories, the Nigerian military has finalized plans to conduct a “once and for all comprehensive operations” towards the elimination of Boko Haram terrorists in the parts of North East to the boarders of neighbouring countries. However, the hackers could not infiltrate the database of the site. Preliminary investigation shows that the attack was from the end of the site’s host. One ImaSadiq who posed as the hacker has been knocked off and normal activities on the channel has resumed.
Apparently, the blogsite was targeted because of its role as a major channel for disseminating information on military and security activities in the nation’s counter-terrorism campaign.

The Principal who released Gen. Muhammadu Buhari’s West African School Certificate (WASC) results has been receiving death threats barely 24 hours after doing so.
Sources close to Mallam Isyaku Bello, the Principal of Government College, Katsina, alleged that he has been “faced with pressure” from Katsina State Ministry of Education, in connection with the release of the results.
As the presidential election approaches, more creative stunts keep coming up and one of those is targeting Nigerians in diaspora. President Goodluck Jonathan billboards were spotted in Ghana which encouraged Nigerians in Ghana to go back home and vote.
The billboards were paid for by Arthur Eze na Ukpo, a billionaire businessman.

From perjury to forgery: Buhari or whoever forged that certificate needs to be flogged. Prior to the formation of a central govt by Gowon, all regions had separate curriculums. Only the western region offered a local language in both their curriculum and WASC! It was after a central govt was formed and a universal educational curriculum was developed and adopted which included other local languages in 1974! So which WASC did Buhari write in 1961 that included Hausa? Wife of the President, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, on Thursday said nobody or group could threaten her if she decided to visit any part of the country. Mrs. Jonathan, who spoke with one of our correspondents through her media assistant, Ayo Adewuyi, was reacting to statements by some youth groups threatening to disgrace her if she attends the grand rally of the Peoples Democratic Party in Yenagoa on February 5.
Two youth groups – Bayelsa Youth Vanguard and the Mangrove Boys of Bayelsa – had, in different statements, issued in Abuja and Yenagoa, barred the President’s wife from accompanying her husband to the rally in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.

The Forum of Spokespersons of Security and Response Agencies (FOSSRA) has pledged that it will remain professional, non-partisan and apolitical at all times, especially during the February general elections.
In a communiqué on its first meeting for 2015 held in Abuja on Wednesday and signed by Major Gen. Chris Olukolade and Emmanuel Okeh, Chairman and Secretary respectively, the forum said its members will continue to ensure that press statements as well as official pronouncements of individual members as well as their organisations remain professional, non-partisan and apolitical at all times.

An All Progressive Congress (APC) group in Kwara State has accused the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) of planning to manipulate the Nigeria Police and other security agencies into arresting it's stakeholders ahead of the February General Elections in the state.
INEC has declared, Gideon Okeke, Gbenro Ajibade, Tayo Faniran, Frank Edwards, Micheal Godson and a host of others as youth ambassadors at the on-going National Youth Summit with the subject, Nigerian Youth; Working For Peaceful election, Deepening In Our Democracy.
