Former Governor Alamieyeseigha's Son Commits Suicide

Ex-Governor of Bayelsa state, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, has lost one of his sons, Oyoms, in Dubai, United Arab Emirate according to ThisDayLive.
Oyoms was said to have committed suicide in the desert city while riding in an elevator.
As at the moment of this report, details were still sketchy as to what led to the suicide.

PHOTO: The Daughter Of A Former Governor Has Been Shot Dead In Delta State

Daughter of former Military Administrator of Kano and Plateau states, Brigadier General Dominic Oneya, Franca Oneya, was, on Friday, killed by suspected armed robbers.

The incident occurred along Ovie Palace Road, Effurun, when the victim was said to be returning from one of the new generation banks located along PTI Road where she had gone to withdraw money.

ANTI AKPABIO PROTESTERS STORM ABUJA

Some party stalwarts of the Peoples Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State, who had earlier addressed a press conference in Uyo, went a step further to protest against the party leadership in Abuja on Wednesday.

Additional details have emerged concerning the ownership structure of the company that is set to acquire Oil Mining Lease 29 (OML 29) and the 60-mile Nembe Creek Trunkline sold by Shell and its partners in a $2.562 billion deal. As previously reported, Shell, operator of the oil lease, has sold its 30 percent stake in the oil field and pipeline, while France’s Total Global and Italy’s Eni S.p.A. have sold off their 10 and 5 percent stakes, respectively, to local investors.
