The National Coordinator of Odua People's Congress,Otunba Gani Adams was today conferred with the chieftaincy tittle of Are Mayegun of Ira,Kwara State. His conferment coincided with the 20th Anniversary celebration of HRM Oba Abdul Wahab Oyetoro,The Onira of Ira on the throne. Various prominent Traditional Rulers,outstanding sons and daughters of Ira from far and near as well as well wishers.

HRM Oba Abdul Wahab Oyetoro told the gathering that the Convener of Oodua Progressive Union with chapters spread across 64 countries,Otunba Gani Adams is so recognised for his contribution towards the global recognition of Ira thru his promotion of Oya festival annually via his Olokun Festival Foundation (FFF)
