Former Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida (rtd), has dismissed rumors that he was hospitalized in a Germany for an undisclosed ailment, saying his travelling to the European country was for a routine medical checkup.
Gen. Babangida made this disclosure on Sunday night, 21 September, 2014, while speaking with Thisday, adding that there was nothing strange about his trip.
This is contrary to reports published at the weekend that Babangida was hospitalised in a hospital in Germany after he was rushed there 10 days ago from his country home in Minna, the Niger State capital.
It was reported that the one time military president was moved from his hilltop mansion in Minna out of the country in a desperate need of adequate health care.
