Tell Us What You Have Done in 12 years as Senator, Governor Ahmed challenges Ajibola

Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has challenged his opponent in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections, Senator Simeon Ajibola of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to reveal what he has done for Kwara State in his three terms as Senator representing Kwara South.

Speaking during a campaign stop at Isanlu Isin in Isin Local Government Area, Governor Ahmed said his opponent could not point to any tangible project or program he has attracted to the state since he became a Senator twelve years ago. He stressed that people are interested in what candidates have done and their capacity to do more rather than what they intend to do.
"Let him tell us what he has done for Kwara instead of playing on sentiments that can only divide. People want someone with the experience and capacity for good governance. Senator Bukola Saraki has attracted an environmental project to the state. Other members of the national assembly have attracted projects to the state. Ask Senator Ajibola what projects he has attracted to Kwara State.”
Governor Ahmed also challenged Senator Ajibola to identify how many bills he has sponsored or debates he has contributed to in the senate.
Alhaji Ahmed said the government has made significant development in all sectors of the state including youth jobs, SME micro credit for small business owners and farmers, rehabilitation of general hospitals and supply of transformers to hundreds of communities across the state. He promised to create 5000 new jobs, establish an Independent Power Project, overhaul 120 schools and embark on new road projects if re-elected for a second term.
He urged the people to collect their Permanent Voters Cards and ensure that they turn out en-masse to vote for the APC at levels, adding that only the party has the capacity to bring about the desired change at all levels in the country.
