The textbooks donated to the elated students included mathematics texbooks, computer texbooks and exercise books, which were given to performing students of the school.

In an interview, the Managing Director of the bank, Aminul Haque Bhuiya said that the project was part of the avenues through which the bank gives back to the society.

He stated further that Asha Microfinance Bank is massively reaching out to traders and that 95 of their clients are women, who trade in different items.

According to him, "we have not less than one million customers all over the world, but Nigeria accounts for about 200,000 customers of the bank. This exercise is our own little way of giving back to the people in a positive way.

"This is just the beginning, we will do more in the coming years. Nigeria is a very good country and we are happy to be doing business here. Our plan is to expand and do more so that we can get across to many traders, who would benefit from our different products," he said.

Mr. Bhuiya added that the products of the company covers financing of business, loans for market men and women amongst many others.

In the same vein, the Chief Operating Officer of Aisha Microfinance Bank Worldwide, Mr. Enamul Haque stated that the bank has employed over 1,000 Nigerians, who are proving their worth in the company.

He expressed delight that the company is growing and that they are willing to take many Nigerian youths away from the unemployment market in the nearest future.

"We are expanding everyday and what we are doing here today would be replicated in different locations in the country. Our plan is to get across to as many students as possible.

"We are currently in 14 states in Nigeria, but we will get to other states of the federation, especially the northern part of the country, once an end comes to insurgency in that region," he stated.

He emphasised that the bank is doing its best to make life better for the people, while enjoining others to emulate the gesture and give back to the society.

Haque reiterated that the bank would continue to promote trade and businesses in the country, adding that customer service is paramount to the company.

He told the parents and the enthusiastic students that Asha MFB came up with the initiative to give back to show appreciation to the customers and the society at large.

Some of the benefiting students thanked the authorities of the bank, and prayed that God would help the company to continue to expand and make life better for them.
