............."No One is above the law" as Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi fights corruption
The
river state governor has proven to the entire people of Rivers state
and Nigeria that indeed his administration does not tolerate or welcome
any form of corruption
Dr Rotimi Amaechi who one time sacked
one of his executive members over alleged corruption has done it again,
by asking another of its cabinet memebers, in the person of Mr Marshal
Uwom to resign from office due to alleged fraud.
Mr Marshal Uwom,
a member of the Rivers state executive council, and Commissioner for
Housing who resigned from office on Monday, according to an insider from
the Rivers state executive council revealed that the former
commissioner was a indeed a corrupt member who has been served with
several queries and allegations, but each time he's been called upon to
defend himself, he's usually have nothing to say, this according to our
source made the governor to asked him to resign.
The commissioner
instead of walking away quietly as his colleague Dr Tammy had done or
plead to the people of River state and ask them for forgiveness. Marshal
decided to manipulate his resignation by telling the general public,
that his resignation was due to his boss defect from the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP), for the All Progressives Congress.
Dr
Rotimi Amaechi who has vowed to combat any form of corruption within the
state has, we were told is leaving no stone as he's set to invite
Economic and Financial Crime Commision (EFCC) to investigate the Ex
Commissioner
