OONI'S GRANDMOTHER DIES AT 104

ILE OODUA announces the glorious transition of Queen Mariani Adeyemi Ogunwusi the paternal grandmother of Arole Oodua and Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi(Ojaja II). 

Survived by her only surviving son Prince Oluropo Ogunwusi and twelve grandchildren, the King's  grandmother who had earlier lost her second child Prince Isaac Olufemi Ogunwusi and her husband Prince Olaobaju Joseph Ogunwusi in 1995 and 1998 respectively died at exactly 4:30am in house at Ile-Ife at the ripe age of 104 years.

Electricity Tariff: Labour says it will not relent on its agitation for reversal

Abuja, Feb. 8, 2016 (NAN) The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) said on Monday that organised labour would not relent in its agitation for a reverse of the increase in electricity tariff until government listened and acted.
The Chairman of NLC, Sokoto state chapter, Mr Aminu Muhammad stated this during the nationwide peaceful protest against the 45 per cent increase in electricity tariff which took effect from Feb. 1.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports the protest by the organised labour and civil society organisations took place across the country.

SAD!... POPULAR ACTOR SIKIRU ADESHINA (ARAKANGUDU) IS DEAD

Versatile yoruba actor,Sikiru Adeshina popularly known in movie circle as Arakangudu is dead. According to those who should know,he was said to have given up the ghost yesterday after what was called heart attack.
Metronews checks further revealed that Arakangudu who till his death had relocated to Kaduna will be buried today in Oshogbo his home town. Details soon.
