Rivers State governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, on Saturday debunked the rumours making the rounds that he impregnated a daughter of Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka.
According to an online publication, PREMIUM TIMES, the governor denied the rumours through his twitter handle on December 18, but it became public knowledge on Saturday.

Edo Gov Escapes Death Via Road Accident Again

BENIN CITY – GOVERNOR Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, Saturday escaped death in a ghastly motor accident involving the governor’s convoy around Ewu village, Auchi-Benin road.

Vanguard learnt that the incident occurred at about 9.45am on his way to Benin City from his Iyamho Village.

It was gathered that the incident occurred when a Peugeot J5 Bus with registration number XB 355 Fugar, conveying tomatoes and plantains lost control while trying to overtake an articulated vehicle and crashed  into the governor’s flag car, a BMW bullet proof car, before ending in a ditch.

It would be recalled that the governor’s convoy was also involved in an accident last year when a tipper  rammed into his car.

There was a twist in the account given by suspected drug dealer, Kashamu Buruji, over his relationship with President Goodluck Jonathan and former President Olusegun Obasanjo, yesterday.

Kashamu said that he was tried and discharged over his drug case in London, pointing out that he now had a clean bill of health.

However, the Chicago Tribune, reported yesterday that Kashamu’s case was still open at the Chicago Federal Court, USA.
