ATUNWA URGES NIGERIANS TO BE RESOLUTE IN THEIR SUPPORT FOR APC


Nigerians have been urged to vote for the All Progressive Congress in the following general elections inspite of the antics of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party to restore the dignity and sanity in the country.

The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly Barrister Razak Atunwa made the call in Alapa while addressing farmers in Owode Onire Constituency.
Barrister Atunwa while reacting to the shift in the date of the general elections explained that the present Jonathan led administration came up with the postponement of the poll as the PDP was afraid of defeat and urged Nigerians to be consistent and steadfast in the face of intimidation and provocation to ensure the resolution of the numerous problems confronting the nation.
He praised farmers in the area for their sacrifice, tolerance and embracing peace, stressing that the rift between the farmers and the Fulani Herdsmen would soon be totally resolved by the State Government.


The Speaker while assuring that he would continue to be committed to their wellbeing, praised the State Government, the State House of Assembly and Asa Local Government council for their prompt response in restoring peace in the area called for more peaceful coexistence between he farmers and the Fulani Herdsmen to pave way for more meaningful development of the area.
The Chairman of Asa Local Government Council Alhaji Salman Obalana explained the role played by his Council as ensuring peaceful coexistence in the area and assured that his council would continue to be committed to the wellbeing of the people of the area.
The Chairman of Farmers Council in Owode Onire Alhaji Oba Ashi Omoniyi who narrated their ordeal praised the Speaker and other stakeholders for responding to the yearnings of the people of the area.

The Chairman of the Farmers Council in the area while endorsing the candidature of Barrister Razak Atunwa for the House of Representatives in Ilorin West/Asa Constituency assured that farmers in the area would vote massively for him and other APC candidates in view of their track records.
The Chief Imam of Alapa, Alhaji Abass Kondoro, the spokesman of Owode and Onire farmers, Alhaji Ajao Temidire and Alhaji Adebeji Babatunde while calling on government to assist farmers in the area, said only APC led government could enhance the wellbeing of farmers in the area.
The Chief Imam of Alapa later led others in prayer for the success of the Speaker and other APC candidates in the next month's general elections.
