A 25-year-old fashion designer, Jamiu Ayoade has allegedly been shot dead by a trigger happy Divisional Police Officer of Ijeshatedo Police Division.
The incident happened around 7pm on Sunday at No, 49 Wosilat Daudu Street, Ijeshatedo, where the deceased went to celebrate a friend’s birthday party.
Witnesses in the area on Monday told our correspondent that the DPO and his men stormed the venue of the birthday party in two patrol vans around 6:30pm and left after observing what the youth was doing and left.
It was learnt that a few minutes later, the DPO and his men came back to the venue of the birthday party, immediately they arrive there, one of the officers that accompany their boss shot into the air.
The DPO, who was sitting in front of one of the patrol vans, allegedly alighted from the pickup van and brought out his service pistol and shot Ayoade, who was sitting close to his girlfriend, on his head.
