BRITISH-NIGERIAN STUDENT DIES DURING RUGBY TOUR IN CANADA

A British student has died while on a swimming trip during a rugby tour in Canada, his school has confirmed.
Jamal Ottun was a Year 12 pupil at Wallington County Grammar School in Sutton, London.
The headmaster Jonathan Wilden said in a statement that emergency services were called for Jamal during the planned swimming trip on Sunday.

But the 17-year-old "could not be saved and sadly passed away at the scene" on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.
Mr Wilden paid tribute to Jamal, saying he was "extremely popular and talented".
"He was a very generous individual, always looking for the best in people and wanting to help them achieve great things.
"Jamal was a very keen sportsman, be it on the rugby pitch, the running track or excelling in virtually any other sporting activity.
"The short time that he did spend on this trip was characterised by tremendous fun as demonstrated by the photographs that he had already shared with family and friends."
The school trip is now being cut short, with students and staff returning to the UK shortly.
Two members of staff will be remaining in Canada to assist members of Jamal's family, who are hoping to travel out soon.
"Jamal's family are obviously devastated by these events, and our thoughts and prayers are with them all at this time."
Mr Wilden also said that all school staff and students would be offered professional support.
"This tragic event has left a huge hole in the WCGS community, and this is keenly felt by all staff, students and others who have come into contact with Jamal."
A Facebook page has been set up for those who knew Jamal to share memories for a memorial service being planned for Thursday.
