PDP BOASTFULLY CHALLENGE BUHARI FOR HIS SCOOL CERTIFICATE

PDP has challenged the APC presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari, to flaunt his school certificate.
The party threw the challenge yesterday at the PDP presidential campaign rally organised for President Goodluck Jonathan in Ado-Ekiti.The Director General of the PDP Presidential Campiagn Organisation, Senator Ahmadu Ali, at the event said,

The APC Presidential flag bearer, Muhammadu Buhari today paid a courtesy visit to Olusegun Obasanjo at his Hilltop Residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State, alongside other party leaders. Obasanjo said to the group;

"I am a card carrying member of another party but what is paramount in Nigeria so I wish you the best"

ELECTION MAY NOT BE CONDUCTED IN SOME NORTHERN STATES- INEC CHAIRMAN

The chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Attahiru Jega made it known at a forum today in Abuja that some troubled northern states such as Borno, Yobe and Adamawa may not participate in the elections due to the emergency rule going on in the states.

"A place like Borno state, unless something is done about those that have been displaced, even the time of the governorship election may be very very difficult, if not impossible under the circumstances. We are been realistic. We must say that it may be impossible to do elections everywhere and in every local government in every constituency in those three states" he said at a forum in Abuja today.

Obasanjo, Adeboye, Oyedepo, Jonathan meet in Abeokuta

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and President Goodluck Jonathan met on Monday at Obasanjo’s mansion  on Presidential Hilltop Estate, Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

Sources close to the Obasanjo home said the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye and founder of Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, were at the meeting at the instance of the former President as one of conditions given by Obasanjo before any meeting with Jonathan could take place .

A new Managing Director has been appointed for The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Ltd (SPDC). He is Osagie Okunbor, and takes over from Mutiu Sunmonu who is retiring after 36 years of service. Mr. Okunbor has also been named the Country Chair of Shell Companies in Nigeria, combining the two positions as his predecessor did. Mr. Okunbor is the third Nigerian to hold both posts.
