Former Governor of Ogun State and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Otunba Gbenga Daniel has expressed his discontent about the activities of some leaders of the party.

He, therefore, admonished them to desist from discussing political developments within the party in the media as such negated one of the articles of the PDP Constitution.

Adebisi Alimi is the first person ever to come out as gay on Nigerian television.

Alimi's acting career was just starting to take off when his sexuality stole the spotlight. The student newspaper at University of Lagos, where he was studying theater, threatened to publish a photo of him with his then-boyfriend. So Alimi beat them to the punch. He went on "New Dawn with Funmi," one of the most popular talk shows in Nigeria, and challenged a long-held belief that homosexuality was brought to Africa by white colonizers. That was also the year Alimi was diagnosed with HIV.

Suddenly, his home country no longer saw him as a rising star. Alimi lost his roles on TV and on stage, many of his friends shunned him and the police even arrested him on unexplained charges. In 2007, things got worse. He was detained at the airport on his way back from the United Kingdom, where he gave an interview to BBC Network Africa, and was released two days later. Then a group of men entered his home and attempted to kill him. Alimi fled to the U.K. and hasn't been back to Nigeria since.

The Divisoinal Police Officer of Ijede police station, Ikorodu was found dead in his office by his colleagues. It was reported that the deceased died quietly in his office without the knowledge of anyone. THE VICE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA, MOHAMED SAMBO HAS NO CERTIFICATES

Vice President of Nigeria, Mohammed Namadi Sambo has told the Independent National Electoral Commission that his Bachelors and Masters degrees certificates in Architecture from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, have been consumed by fire.

The VP made the declaration in the documents he filed to INEC and displayed on the commission’s office in Abuja although the details of the fire that consumed the certificates were not given.

Kwara 2015: Emir of Ilorin Denies Endorsing PDP's Senator Ajibola

The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, MFR, has condemned in its entirety, a story credited to him by an online medium, that he(Emir) endorsed the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) gubernatorial flag bearer, Sen Simeon S Ajibola.

The spokesperson of the monarch and Magaji Nda of Ilorin, Alhaji Salihu Woru Mohammed described the story as grossly irresponsible, concocted, inciting and an attempt to drag the Emir into partisan politics.

Alhaji Woru while reacting to the story in Ilorin, said the Emir as a father of all political parties in the state could not slam his door against any political party, saying that reception of any political party in the palace did not mean endorsement.

Festus Aimufua. 

A Nigerian spare parts trader based in Benin City, Festus Aimufua, has been detained by Edo state police command for allegedly murdering his middle-aged Austrian-based lover, Rose Aifuwa‎, who returned home for the Christmas and New Year holiday.

The late Rose allegedly met her death on Christmas eve in the hands of the suspect when she went to demand for the redemption of debt running into millions of naira from the sale of goods she imported for him.
