During Tuesday’s Town Hall Meeting/Policy Dialogue for Good Governance, organised by the Alumni Association of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (AANI), the Minister of Power,Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola SAN was asked about the challenges of coping with three ministries. In his response he welcomed the responsibility and said it was a cost saving initiative by Mr. President and added that he was pleased to serve his country in any capacity.

Following the directive from Army Headquarters (AHQ) that a standing General Court Martial (GCM) be set up for Op LAFIYA DOLE to try offences committed by personnel within the Theatre of Operation, I issued a Convening Order for a GCM on 5 August 2016 and the members were directed to assemble today at this venue for the formal inauguration of the GCM.

Celestial Church of Christ Leader Maforikan Is Dead

BIOGRAPHY
Rev Pastor Paul Surulere Maforikan was born on September 19, 1930 in Ajase, Republic of Benin. His Father, Pa Joseph Maforikan, relocated to Ajase from Badagry, Nigeria during the war. It was there his father met his mother, Madam Celina Jokotola.

Baba Paul, as he is fondly called by his teeming admirers, joined Celestial Church Of Christ in 1948 through the direction of the holy spirit. He was previously a member of Christ Apostolic Church before he joined Celestial. He was one of the pioneering members who followed the Pastor Founder S B J Oschoffa to Nigeria

Reverend Paul Surulere Maforikan was Oyo State Evangelist for 10 years before he rose to the position of a Deputy Pastor in December 2002. He was proclaimed Pastor, Celestial Church Of Christ Worldwide barely 48 hours of the demise of Rt Reverend G O Jesse so as not to allow any unnecessary litigation over the vacuum created by the death of Rev Jesse. He is blessed spiritually and materially.
He died yesterday at about 10:30pm

Why Blogger Was Arrested....

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC today arrested Mr. Abubakar Sidiq Usman, a blogger, for offences bordering on cyber stalking.

The suspect who is the publisher of Abusidiqu.com was picked up at his Kubwa, Abuja home in the early hours of Monday August 8, 2016 by operatives of the EFCC and is currently being questioned over the alleged offence which contravenes sections of the Cyber Crime Act.

The suspect has already been offered administrative bail and would be released to his elected sureties.
He has since been released.

Tragedy As Another Yoruba Actor Dies..... Buried

Isiaka Adewale Najeem popularly known as wale Omo iyami leko is dead. He died this morning after a strange  prolonged sickness that saw him moving from one hospital to the other. At a point, he was rejected by hospitals close friends claim his sickness was termed spiritual. He ended up seeking healing in a church where he gave up the ghost this morning.
He was buried this evening . May his soul rest in peace
