OPC/OFF Celebrate Oke’badan Festival 2016.....Pictures of the funfair








In the midst of the celebration Otunba Gani Adams highlighted that "Oke’badan Festival is one of the very pristine Festivals in Yoruba land which Olokun Festival Foundation, (OFF ), hold in high esteem because of its cultural significance to the soul of Ibadan.
“Okebadan Festival celebration is the key that unlocks the pot of fortunes and clear the road for accelerated development strides in Ibadan land”.

“It is not only for the fun of it that Ibadan grows faster than any other cities in Nigeria. This feat is not being recorded without the aura of good spell being dished out by the efficacy of prayers offered by Lagelu and which is being refreshed and re-awaken every year during the celebration of Oke’badan Festival”.
It is believed that Oke’badan Festival is a cultural celebration where the efforts of the heroes past are appreciated, evaluated and celebrated.
“It is a festival which every Ibadan indigene is always proud of that the city has a solid festival rooted in history and sustained all these years, which reminds them of a glorious past, with seasoned progenitors who stamped their imprints on the sand of time by founding this great city which the indigenes and visitors”.
Other speakers at the events including the Oyo state coordinators of the OPC Mr Rotimi Olumo, and the guest lecturer Dr Caleb Arulogun of the Department of local government administration at the Polytechnic Ibadan eulogies Otunba Gani Adams support for the festival and call for government and corporate individuals sponsorship for elaborate celebrations
The festival which is an annual celebration of Ibadan cultural heritage is one of the major festivals in Ibadan and Oyo State in general,it is also a major festival being celebrated by Olokun Festival Foundation.
Speaking further, the chief promoter of Olokun festival Otunba Gani Adams said “

Otunba Gani Adams also used the occasion to congratulate the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji for being planted majestically on the throne of his forefathers without any rancour , tiff but with testimonies of being a King whose formal installation brought down the rain which stamped out the heat.
While debunking series of allegation leveled against him and the OPC by some expelled members of the organization, Otunba Adams said “ I did not have any link with Ghadaffi neither did I collect N1.6B from Obanikoro as claimed by detractors , they are attention seekers and I want to enjoin you in the media to always find our the truth before going to the press so that you will not set Oduda house on fire”
The Aboke of Ibadanland Chief Fasola Ifamapowa commended Otunba Gani Adams and the entire Olokun Festival Foundation for supporting the festival and prayed for progress and elevation for Otunba Adams .
