Nigeria Needs Sacrifice, Forgiveness - Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu

Honourable Oladipupo Adebutu has called on Nigerians, especially Christians to emulate Christ in the spirit of sacrifice and forgiveness which is the lesson of the Easter celebration.

In his Easter message to Nigerians and the people of Ogun State, Honourable Adebutu who is representing the Remo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in Abuja said "the lesson derivable from the persecution, crucifixion, death and ultimate resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is one of sacrifice, recompense and forgiveness which are essential for the ultimate triumph of good over evil".

According to him "Nigerians at this period in our political lives should all imbibe the Christ-like character, get closer to God, exhibit tolerance, show love, and pray for the continued peaceful co-existence of the nation, especially at this period of economic turbulence"

Hon. Adebutu however challenged the people of Ogun State to remain steadfast in their hope and collective resolve for an Ogun State of their dream, while expressing strong faith in God for divine intervention to see the state take its rightful place among others in Nigeria.

He wish Christians a happy easter celebration, calling on them to celebrate in moderation as the spirit of both Easter and the mood of the nation at the moment should be sober.
