EKITI BAPTIST HIGH SCHOOL IS 60
The Ekiti Baptist High School, Igede Ekiti Old Students Association (Northern Region Chapter) as well as the 1983/84 year set felicitate with Elder Dele Moronkeji; National President of the National Alumni Association, his Executive Committee Members, Ex and current Principals as well as the entire student body of this great citadel of learning on the school's Diamond Jubillee Anniversary which comes up on Saturday, February 6, 2016.
In a release signed by Yeye Bolanle Olatunde;
Secretary; Northern Region Chapter as well as the 1984 set, the 60th founders day anniversary marks a milestone in the annals of EBHS hence it calls for celebrations. Olatunde who was also the school's Senior Prefect Girl in 1984 posited that the school has lived up to its motto which says; "Pro Christo Et Humanitate" meaning; "For Christ and Humanity". This, she says is evident in the calibre of renown businessmen and women, captains of industry, internationally acclaimed scholars as well as professionals in various fields of endeavor which this noble school has produced. According to her, the EBHS today ranks amongst the best single digit secondary schools in Ekiti and certainly remains a force to reckon with in the entire south west as well as in Nigeria as a whole. The two associations are therefore very excited that the EBHS has come of age and thus reiterated their full involvement and support in the forthcoming weeklong of activities marking the school's Diamond Jubilee coming in September.
While calling on the present crop of students to build on the enduring legacies of the school's torch bearers many of whom have made their marks in various endeavors of life, she however expressed disappointment with the decrepit state of infrastructure in the school and called on well meaning Nigerians, corporate organizations, philanthropists as well as the old students to come to the aid of the school and restore its dimming glory so the banner of "Up School" can fly high up again.
