A 30-year-old woman, who allegedly defrauded her friend of N10 million and threatened to kill her, was on Wednesday charged at a Tinubu Magistrates' Court in Lagos.
The accused, Sandra Duru-Eluobi, of no fixed address, is facing a two-count charge of fraud and threat to life.
The prosecutor, Mr Nurudeen Thomas, told the court that the accused committed the offences sometime in August 2015 at Bodere Ajah, Eti-Osa Local Government Area in Lagos State.
Thomas, an inspector, said that the accused defrauded her friend, Mrs Adefunke Edidot, of N10 million under the pretence of helping her to invest the money in a business.

The prosecutor said that the offences contravened the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty.
The Magistrate, L.A. Owolabi, granted the accused N500,000 bail with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till Feb. 11 for hearing.
