Man, 32, docked for allegedly stealing IPAD


 The Police on Tuesday arraigned a 32-year-old man, John Samuel in a Wuse Zone 2 Senior Magistrates’ Court, Abuja for allegedly stealing an IPAD at a lounge in Abuja.
The accused of no fixed address allegedly stole the IPAD from a customer’s car parked at the premises of the lounge at Wuse 2 Abuja.

The prosecutor, Orum Otu, told the court that the matter was reported at the Wuse Zone 3 Police Station by one Biodun Shittu of Ecstasy Lounge, Wuse 2, Abuja on Dec. 24.
According to the prosecutor, the accused and others now at large, forcibly opened the car of a customer and stole the IPAD.
The prosecutor added that apart from the IPAD, other items stolen from the car included documents containing some vital information.
Otu put the value of the IPAD at N85, 000, while the offences contravened Sections 79 and 287 of the Penal Code.
The defendant denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Senior Magistrate Usman Shuaibu granted him bail in the sum of N100, 000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the matter till Feb.8 for hearing
