BUHARI DEBUNKS ILL-HEALTH RUMOURS

APC Presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), said reports about him visiting a London hospital to address his health problems are false.

Governor of Ekiti, Ayo Fayose, had alleged that Buhari was sick and lacked the required capacity to rule a complex country like Nigeria.

Buhari, however, debunked the claims saying: “I am in London with Senator Bukola Saraki, Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State for a short working visit. I just finished talks with the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in his country home. I would be having another meeting with the Awujale of Ijebuland soon. Apart from this, I am also visiting some friends.

“As you can hear from my voice, I am hale and hearty with some of my friends around me.”

Meanwhile, the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation has appealed to President Goodluck Jonathan to call one of his party’s governors, Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti, to order over his continued pestering of their candidate, Buhari, with falsehood and death wishes.

Not even the strategy of mining over 1500 spots with land mines on the routes leading to the town  could save the terrorists from the aggressive move of advancing troops.

All the land mines were skillfully cleared one after the other. Eventually, the resistance of the terrorists collapsed and the land forces finally stormed the town in the early hours of Friday.

"WE WILL CAPTURE SHEKAU BEFORE THE ELECTIONS"- PRESIDENT JONATHAN

The Federal Government of Nigeria has continued to express its confidence in securing a nonviolent election when Nigerians cast their votes come March 28 and April 11.
This was the assurance of President Goodluck Jonathan who recently in an interview with Thisday, revealed that he underestimated the Boko Haram Islamists group who have continued to terrorize the north-eastern part of the country.
Jonathan, facing a tight re-election bid against his rival, General Muhammadu Buhari, has faced criticism over the vote delay, which critics argue was designed to give him time to shore up his campaign.
