KWARA ASSEMBLY LOSES MEMBER
The death has occurred of a Member of the Kwara State House of Assembly representing Ilesha/Gwanara Constituency, Hon. Suleiman Sunoboro Idris at age of 53 years.
Hon. Sunoboro died in the early hours of Wednesday, 18th February, 2015 (today) after a brief illness.
Announcing his demise at the short plenary today, the Speaker, Barrister Razak Atunwa expressed rude shock at the news of the passage of the lawmaker.
The Speaker opined that the deceased as a 2-term Member participated actively in the House between 2007-2011 and also 2011-2015 during the 7th Legislature where he was the Chairman House Committee on Finance and Appropriation and did wonderfully well.
According to Barrister Atunwa, Hon Sunoboro served diligently as a lawmaker and was punctual to sittings, contributed immensely to the debates in the hallowed chamber.
As a lawmaker, the Speaker described the deceased as forthright, outstanding Member not only in the society, but among his colleagues adding that he was well respected throughout the State and commanded high respect among his colleagues.
He was the Chief Examiner of the 2015 Appropriation Bill and examined the Government Monetary processes with accuracy and thoroughness in the completed report which he could not present on the floor on Tuesday due to the illness.
Barrister Razak Atunwa prayed Allah to grant the repose of his soul in Aljanah Fridauz and thereafter adjourned the sitting in his honour and a minute silence was observed.
Hon. Sunoboro is survived by Wives, Children, Siblings and Relations.
