KINGDOM HALL OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES BAN MEMBERS FROM PARTICIPATING IN 2015 ELECTIONS, SAYS ITS SATANIC AND DEMONIC
With the 2015 general elections a few days away, the leadership of the Jehovah’s Witnesses has banned its members from casting their votes.
Members are not to participate in any electoral process, which means they can’t vote for any candidate or neither can they stand for any election, PM News reports.
Jehovah’s witness members were reportedly warned not to even obtain voter’s cards.
The punishment for anyone who goes against this directive will be excommunication.
Jehovah’s Witnesses are against participating in elections because they believe them to be satanic and contrary to God’s commandment.
When members of the church were questioned, they agreed with the directive saying they are still waiting for the kingdom of God that is yet to be established on earth.
They backed their decision not to participate in the electoral process with scripture; Mathew 6:9 and Mathew 4:8.
One of the ministers, James Uduok, explained that every member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses knows that participating in elections is satanic and contrary to the will of God.
He added that the Witnesses’ teaching was strongly embedded in the Bible and all members must adhere strictly to the teaching or leave the congregation.
Non-members of the church described the beliefs and teachings of the Jehovah’s Witnesses as strange because that same Bible mandated Christians to respect constituted authority.
Pastor Jude Chukwurah said: “God recognises leadership and authority of leaders in the society.”
Chukwurah added that even in ages past, there was clamour for leaders as reported in the Bible, and the people elected their leaders.
Another pastor, Michael James, said the Witnesses are misinterpreting the Bible and should be ignored.
