Following yesterday’s fire incident at Mansard Place on Aboyade Cole Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, the management of Mansard Insurance has come out with a statement clarifying that there was no casualty or serious injuries to anyone. O Ohwo of  Delta State High Court, Warri, Delta State, on Wednesday,  December 10, 2014, convicted and sentenced Pastor Glory Okeoghene Abrefera and Reverend Vincent Okpogu to seven (7) years imprisonment each for stealing depositors' funds amounting to N32million ( Thirty- Two Million Naira only).

EFCC Unveils Inter-Faith Anti-Corruption Manuals

 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has unveiled an Inter-Faith Anti-Corruption Preaching/Teaching Manual as part of its efforts to combat corruption in  the country.

 

The Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde, who spoke at the book unveiling event, on Tuesday, December 9, at the main auditorium of the National Centre for Women Development, Abuja, reiterated the need to get religious bodies involved in the war against corruption.

Fallout of primaries: Frontline Delta PDP governorship aspirants align with Obuh

Following from the first set of primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State, 

which has seen governorship aspirant, Sir Tony Obuh, apparently coasting home 

to victory, some frontline aspirants of the party have started aligning with him.

Available information over the weekend had it that the aspirants believe that with 

the emergence of Obuh's supporters from virtually all the local governments 

of the state as delegates to the governorship primaries, there was 

no doubt about where the pendulum will swing on Monday.
