Otunba Gbenga Daniel Escapes Death In Medview Plane Mishap


Former Ogun Governor,Otunba Gbenga Daniel cheated death today when a commercial airline Medview escaped what would have been a crash.

According to Otunba Daniel... "To meet up a scheduled appointment in Abuja earlier today, Otunba Gbenga Daniel boarded an early Med-View flight to Abuja this morning.. Upon take off some smoke was noticed at from the back of the Aircraft. The Pilot then was able to safely return the Aircraft back to the Lagos Airport and we were all safely evacuated. No life was lost and no one sustained any injury.

We thank God for his grace and mercies and wish to reassure all our well wishers worldwide that we are hale and hearty. I have since taken another flight to Abuja and successfully had my meetings"

Political Academy Grooms Media Practisioners In Readiness For 2015 Elections


The only training school for the Political class in Nigeria, Political Academy this weekend organized a Seminar tagged"Preparing Journalists For Challenges Of  2015 Elections" 

The event which kicked of on Friday witnessed Prof Ralph Akinfeleye,of the Dept of Mass Comm,University of Lagos discussing on Media Proprietorship and Journalism: Interest and Conflict, while Comrade Funke Fadugba former Chairman NUJ Lagos presented a paper on Democracy,Accountability,and the Role of Media.


Day 2 was very exciting as Chief Bayo Oguntuase rattled participants with revelations from his paper on "Newsmen English In The 21st Century".
The Vice Chancellor of  Political Academy,Kehinde Shogunle, took time to explain to participants the idea behind the establishment of the Academy and the need for people to embrace the good ideals of the Academy.
Political Academy is Political training school aimed at shaping the minds of participants while preparing them for proper Political grooming. It is an initiation of Otunba Gbenga Daniel in collaboration with Gateway Front Foundation

Ten secondary school students die in autocrash in Katsina


Ten students of Government Day Secondary School in Kankara town in Katsina state yesterday lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident when a truck loaded with timber which they boarded to help get them to school had a head on collision with another truck which was coming from the opposite direction.

10 of the students died on the spot while four were critically injured. Their corpses were taken to the Kankara General Hospital. Activities at their school was suspended to mourn the dead students.

An alleged Boko Haram member, one Mustapha that claims he came from Adamawa has said he and four other members of the sect, where sent to Lagos to bomb The Synagogue of All Nations. Mustapha said when the five of them got to the church entrance, they saw a mallam there and they gave him a metre bomb to hold for them, but he refused. 
So they walked into a restaurant close to the church, but has they were planning the next step to take, they looked up and watch the Tv (Emmanuel Tv) where Prophet TB Joshua was preaching. He said he was praying for the viewers and they were touched and had a change of mind. They decided to all run away and abandon the assignment, but he, Mustapha couldn't because a spirit arrested him. He also explained how they get initiated into the sect, and how he has been seeing prophet TB Joshua in his dreams warning him to stop killing people.
