PLOT TO TAKE OVER CONTROL OF OYO PDP EXCO, COUNT ME OUT- OTUNBA AKALA

Former governor of Oyo State and a leading gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Otunba Alao Akala has described as false and outright fabrication, an allegation that he once attempted to take over control of the Oyo PDP state executive committee led by Mr Yinka Taiwo.
Otunba Alao-Akala in a statement issued by his spokesperson said that at no time did he make either covert or overt efforts to take over the Party Exco, which was constituted in accordance with party rules.
He described as “ridiculous and absurd” the claim by the Vice Chairman of the Party in the state, Chief Solomon Ogunjnmi, stating that it was “least expected of a person in position of authority” who should be unbiased while dealing with party members. The former governor said that the claim that he was critical of the Exco had no basis and purely a figment of Chief Ogunjimi’s imagination.
Rather than being critical, as alleged by the Vice Chairman, Akala noted that he had been giving his full support and necessary assistance to the Exco to ensure the party’s success in regaining power in the state.
