#2015: PDP Inaugurate Zonal Integration Committees

The national leadership of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday, Friday, inaugurated its zonal integration committees across the six geopolitical zones at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

According to the party, the committees, comprising prominent party members, “are poised to fully reconcile and integrate old members back to the party and swell the support base of the party ahead the 2015 general election.”

However, the PDP, in a statement by its national publicity secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, on Thursday, apologised to the leaders and critical stakeholders of the party in the South East geopolitical zone for “the unintended omissions in the published list of the PDP zonal integration committees.”

The party particularly apologised to the “chairman of South-East Governors’ Forum, Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State who we have immense respect for.”

The statement reads, “we also apologise to the humble and matured governor of Ebonyi State, Martin Elechi and the hard working governor of Enugu State, Sullivan Chime, on behalf of our entire members and stakeholders in the South -East.
