LP Commences Electioneering Campaign Ekiti Tomorrow
In furtherance of the electioneering campaign of its candidate, the Labour Party in Ekiti State would officially flag up its campaign in Ido Ekiti, headquarters of Ido/Osi Local Government tomorrow, March
27, 2014. The campaign train will on Saturday, March 29, 2014, move to Gbonyin and Ekiti East local governments, both in the southern senatorial district of the state.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday by Chief (Mrs) Bolanle Olatunde-Bruce, its Media and Publicity Secretary, she said the mega rally which promises to be grand, would afford the candidate of the party, Hon. Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB) to unveil his manifesto for the Ekiti people. The party urged its members to conduct themselves in an orderly manner such that would make them continue to set the pace for other parties in the State.
Hon. Akin Omole, the state party chairman in his address, charged members of the party from the Ekiti North Senatorial District comprising Ido/Osi, Moba, Oye, Ikole and Ilejemeje local governments to troop out en masse to witness this epoch-making event. He also appealed to the security agencies to be alive to their responsibilities by ensuring that adequate security is put in place to
checkmate those with evil intentions from disrupting the rally or attacking his members. Omole promised that the party will make the electioneering campaign issue-based and agenda-driven devoid of name calling or rancour. The party leader equally assured the host community that it has nothing to fear, describing the Labour Party as the most peaceful and most disciplined political party in Ekiti State.
