EFCC to Arraign Suspected Fraudster for $267,000 Scam


A suspected internet fraudster, Akintunde Vincent Abiodun, has been quizzed by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for allegedly defrauding a New Zealand woman the sum of $267,000 (Two Hundred and Sixty Seven Thousand New Zealand Dollars Only).

NNPC SAYS NO REDUCTION IN PUMP PRICE



The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has debunked reports of a purported reduction in the current pump price of petrol from N87 per litre to N57.

A statement signed by NNPC’s Group General Manger, Group Public Affairs Division, Mr Ohi Alegbe, in Abuja on Monday described the report as false and misleading.

Panic As Explosion Rocks Beer Joint In Lagos

There was panic this afternoon as a minor explosion was considered a bomb blast in Lagos. The explosion which the South West Coordinator of National Emergency Management Agency confirmed was caused by an explosion from a locked beer joint which the Lagos firemen are trying to unravel .
The explosion took place at Mayaki area of Oworonsoki in Lagos. No life was lost but 4 people sustained injuries and have been rushed to a nearby hospital.
