2000 Nigerians Deported From Cameroon After President Buhari's Visit


















Two thousand Nigerians living in Cameroon without permits have been thrown out of the country. The Nigerians were arrested on Thursday in Kousseri, northern Cameroon and loaded into many trucks, then driven across the border into Nigeria.

The raid against Nigerians was carried out the same day President Muhammadu Buhari and Cameroon’s Paul Biya, pledged to work together to crush the six-year Boko Haram insurgency which has killed thousands, and spread to neighbouring countries.

A local administrator in Kousseri said the raid was part of measures aimed at improving security and controlling movements along the border region.

Police Uncover New Baby Factory In Delta State With 8 Pregnant Girls


The Delta Police Command said on Saturday that it had discovery a “baby-production” factory in Asaba, arrested the operator, and rescued eight pregnant girls. Spokesperson of the command, DSP Celestina Kalu, said in a statement in Asaba that the baby-making factory was discovered after detectives, acting on a tip-off, swooped on the premises.

Gov Ahmed Predicts Resolution within Two Months




The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has given an assurance that the issue of salary arrears of workers in certain tertiary institutions and government agencies in the state will be resolved within the next two months. 

Speaking during a meeting with heads of tertiary institutions in the state at the Government House Ilorin on Tuesday, Governor Ahmed expressed optimism that the state and federal government efforts to end the hardship caused by salary arrears in the country will start bearing fruit by next month.

29 Lives Lost In Boko Haram Explosion In Borno


No fewer than 29 people lost their lives after Boko Haram members attacked Dille community and other surrounding villages of Askira Uba Local Government Area in Borno state yesterday July 27th.

A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Jubrin Satumari confirmed the recent attack and said his plea for more troops to be drafted to his constituency has over time fallen on deaf ears.

IKORODU LAND CONFLICT,AGENT CALLS AMBODE'S ATTENTION TO RULE OF LAW


Alhaji Kamorudeen Lamina, the alleged landgrabber in Ikorodu area of Lagos state, has denied the allegations against him by the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
Governor Ambode had in an order last  Wednesday, July 22, ordered the Task Force under the regional urban planning and physical planning in conjunction with Ministry of Agriculture of the state, to recover 250 acres of land from Lamina.

Governor Fayose Grants N119m Car Loan For Ekiti State Workers



Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has approved the disbursement of a sum of N119m as car loans to 623 workers in the state public service. The state Commissioner for Finance, Chief Toyin Ojo, disclosed this in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, at the weekend. Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) got N82,120,000 while Parastatals and Agencies got N36.80 million.

What a sad ending! Six months after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub, Bobbi Kristina Brown,the only daughter of late Whitney Houston has died.
According to a statement by the family

"Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away Sunday, July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family,". "She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."
Her boyfriend and adopted brother, Nick Gordon is being investigated by the D.A and now she has passed on,it is now a a murder investigation.  Whitney died from a drug overdose in 2012 while sitting in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.Bobbi would be buried next to her mum.

Tinubu Masterminded The EFCC Petition Against Toyin Saraki - Senator Waku

According to a report by Punch, Senator Joseph Waku, a former Vice-Chairman and member, Board of Trustees of the Arewa Consultative Forum, says the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, allegedly masterminded the EFCC petition against the wife of the Senate President, who has since  to be invited by the anti-graft commission for questioning.
Waku, a leader of the APC, in a statement sent to journalists in Abuja on Saturday, described a situation where Tinubu would be allegedly using his personal relationship with the EFCC Chairman “to embarrass and torment fellow party members” as unfortunate.

Bomb Blast Strikes Market In Damaturu, Kills 14


A minimum of 14 people were killed this morning July 26th after a bomb went off in a market in Damaturu, Yobe state. Over 50 people were seriously injured in the blast. A female suicide bomber blew herself up just at the entrance of the crowded Sunday market around 9.30 this morning. The wounded have been taken to the hospital. Security operatives are currently at the scene.
